My wife gave me a small shortwave radio ... a few days ago as an anniversary present. ... The first program I tuned in was your Christian Science radio programSee p. 127 of this issue for a schedule of shortwave broadcasts. ... I found your Bible studies and recitations from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures an enjoyable start of the day. ... I was pleased to hear much of the readings ... and testimonies of healing through Christian Science. This was something new to me, and I was struck by the fact that, in each instance, it was not merely an instance of "faith healing" that was being described, but circumstances in which spiritual guidance led to a change in the individual's thinking ... that effected the physical condition. No "cheap grace," as it were. I am a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, but feel that your broadcasts can do much to enrich the understanding and enjoyment of my own faith.
