THE MOMENTUM CONTINUES

Taking action—in response to the demand

From the November 2002 issue of The Christian Science Journal

FROM THE 2002 ANNUAL MEETING & CONFERENCE

At the 2002 Annual Meeting & Conference of The Church of Christ, Scientist, participants embraced three overarching messages: the universality of Christian Science; Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures as a resource for everyone; and Mary Baker Eddy's design for a Church to respond to today's demand for spiritual answers. Friends and members have been motivated by these ideas in their interactions with fellow seekers. Here are a few of their inspiring examples.

I wasn't actually at Annual Meeting but was present with you in thought and was able to watch the morning session on Monday via the Internet. After I read an article in the "responding to AIDS" Sentinel, I knew I must pass on Science and Health to a man I knew. I finally plucked up the courage to give him the book a few weeks ago. I saw him last Saturday and he is reading it in conjunction with his Bible and writing in his own words what he is learning. He told me that he knows it is the truth because of the spirit in which it was given—that it comes from the heart!
