As I Walked Home I looked at my report card: a double check in self-control.
I couldn't believe it.
I couldn't believe my sixth grade teacher had found a way to cram two checks into the tiny box that was clearly meant for only one. A single check meant that I needed help controlling myself, but two? Two?! As far as I knew, no one in the history of my school had ever received a double check in self control. This was a disaster, this was beyond hope, and this was clearly not going to be met with a sympathetic smile and a "You'll do better next time" at home.
