This June's Annual Meeting will invite members and friends of The Mother Church to join together in asking, "What does it take to be a healer?" Mary Baker Eddy's stirring words in her Message to The Mother Church for 1901 offer a wonderful starting point for praying about this quesion. She writes:
To my sense the Sermon on the Mount, read each Sunday without comment and obeyed throughout the week, would be enough for Christian practice. (p. 11)
So, what does it take to cultivate the genuine spirituality that Christ Jesus calls for in his revolutionary sermon? What does it take to follow our Master's example of selfless love, purity, goodness, and mercy more faithfully each day? How has a deeper Christian practice enabled you to heal sin, sickness, and death more decisively—and to bring grater unity and harmony to your church and community?
