In real Science we trust

A conversation with Jack Hubbell

From the December 2010 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Replace fear, worry, and doubt with trust in divine Principle: God. Because when we do, as Christian Science teacher and practitioner Jack Hubbell has learned, the unpredictable highway of life opens up in wonderful ways—ways full of opportunities and blessings for ourselves and others.

During the big band era of Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, and Glen Miller, Jack Hubbell managed and played in his own swing band, “The Varsity Club.” The income helped him work his way through college at the University of Oklahoma, where he earned a degree in engineering. After college, Mr. Hubbell served in the Air Force, and later he worked for an electronics company.

When I talked with Jack recently, he recalled how he then became a Christian Science practitioner and teacher. He shared insights about Christian Science healing and explained how his background in engineering gives him a special viewpoint.
