The Christian Science lecture I was about to give was on a Monday night at a community center in a sprawling urban area on the West Coast of the United States.
From my hotel, I keyed the center’s address into my GPS, and off I drove.
After several twists and turns and ambling through a series of parking lots, the GPS finally waved its little black and white flag and declared I was in the right place.
