Gratitude In 3-D

From the February 2011 issue of The Christian Science Journal

While my husband and I were taking in a movie recently, it seemed certain that a huge butterfly was about to land on our noses. We ducked. We were enjoying, with the help of special glasses, the technical advance in filmmaking that’s being applied to feature films with growing frequency: “3–D.” Fun.

So what’s the attraction? 3–D cinema enhances the visual experience through added depth and dimension, making the portrayal of setting, characters, and events seem more convincingly “real.” It appears to have big-time appeal for today’s audience.

This got me to thinking about a “3–D” of much greater magnitude.
