Talking with Lois, you’ll discover she has a helpful and humble perspective on the “how/when/where/who” questions we all ask ourselves. This may have something to do with her journey. Prior to helping others full time through prayer, she worked in the chemical industry in sales, marketing, and business management for over a decade, at a time when very few women were in that line of work. Prayer guided and gave her the assurance to go forward in this competitive environment. Presented with the opportunity to get an executive MBA, she knew that meant devoting every weekend, for two years, to classes and studying. It was a crossroads moment.
Instead of pursuing the MBA, Lois’s prayers prompted her to take weekends to deeply study Christian Science. Sometimes practice “office hours” were woven together on planes and in hotels while traveling. She says that no matter what she was doing, or where she was, “It was always the commitment to serving God that mattered the most.”
