Letters

From the July 2013 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Will you please express my sincere gratitude to Scott Putnam for his article “The harmony of Soul” in the May Journal? He gives such an expanded view of Soul as a synonym for God and its practical application.

What came to my thought was where Mary Baker Eddy states in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures on page 60: “Soul has infinite resources with which to bless mankind, and happiness would be more readily attained and would be more secure in our keeping, if sought in Soul.”

Thinking more deeply after reading Mr. Putnam’s article, I thought about how with Soul’s infinite resources, health would be more readily attained and more secure in our keeping if sought in Soul. As would be supply, safety, intelligence, wisdom, understanding—an infinite number of our needs. He really opened up a whole new vista on Soul.
