Man’s eternal, ageless perfection

From the March 2017 issue of The Christian Science Journal

A marvelous truth that is central to the practice of Christian Science healing is that God’s creation, including man, is spiritual and eternal. Therefore it is complete. It always has been, is now, and always will be. That’s it! Nothing can be lost; nothing can be added. In actual fact, eternity doesn’t include any time in which there could be deletions or additions.

Yet God’s universe isn’t static with nothing happening; it’s not lacking movement or vitality. The one all-acting God created an active universe. In this great, eternal reality of being, God’s individual ideas move in their appropriate channels, interact harmoniously, and bless each other in the atmosphere of infinite Love.

God’s spiritual universe is also entirely good. The mortal, carnal mind—the supposititious mentality that insists all is material—would deceive us by claiming that we live in a time-based world in which sickness, sin, death, and destruction had authority in the past, have it now, and will in the future. But in the great eternity of God’s goodness, evil doesn’t exist, so it can’t operate or have authority. You could say that God has no time for it!
