Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith
hath made thee whole; go in peace.

Luke 8:48

Your freedom came so quickly,
when trembling humble hope
met his all-knowing mercy
unlimited in scope.

He recognized and loved you
before his question came.
“Who touched my clothes?” invited you
to cast aside all shame.

You only dared the border
and it brought peace untold!
But child, the whole garment
Love never would withhold.

Go in peace—you’re whole!
Immediate and plain,
this truth still echoes now
Christ’s potent, sure refrain.
