Letters

From the June 2017 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Allow the Christ to lead

When the new Journal arrives in the mail, I try to leave it alone until the beginning of the month; however, once in a while something on the cover will get my attention and I have to read the article. This was the case with the March issue. The interview with Barbara Vining, Editor of The Christian Science Journal, Sentinel, and Herald, got my attention.

The interview was very enlightening, especially on the concept of cherishing an idea and developing that idea into an article. Allowing the Christ to lead and listening for direction is such a wonderful approach. Being willing as a little child to hear the voice of Truth and expand the idea leads to wonderful discoveries and healing.

As always, my love to you all for your dedication to producing such a wonderful issue each and every time. I marvel every day at how a Christian Science Sentinel or Journal article can arrive at just the right time to assist with some situation that needs healing. My gratitude is beyond words.

God’s love always with us

[“Annual Meeting 2017,” the Christian Science Board of Directors, March 2017, Journal]

I am very happy to be part of the Christian Science family. After practicing the teachings of Mary Baker Eddy and reading testimonies from members, I came to realize that power is within us through Spirit. Our faith in God can erase error and sin and be cleaner with the love of God. This is a true teaching. The love of God is always with us as long as we accept it and open our hearts. We keep our bodies clean as the temple of God. Thank you for sharing with everyone to make us all strong.

Relevant article

[“Freedom from sexism in the workplace,” name withheld, March 2017, Journal]

This article is excellent; so relevant in today’s world. Turning away from material thinking and planning to God in prayer, with deep sincerity, for the truth of any situation to rule, brings a sense of peace and allows harmony to appear, which we call healing. The relinquishment of personal sense is the key point here. Thank you for submitting this very helpful article.
