When I read the testimonies in the January 2020 issue of this magazine, I realized it was time to share my own landmark healing.
About five years ago, a small growth appeared on the center of my forehead. At first I wasn’t alarmed, but when the growth began to enlarge and require occasional bandaging, I knew I couldn’t sit idly by and just hope it would vanish.
The first step I took was to ask a Christian Science practitioner for metaphysical treatment. What was being required of me, we established, was to better understand God, the only source of my life and health. I knew that any accretion of matter, such as a growth on the body, was the counterfeit of spiritual growth, the only true growth, which comes from an understanding of God as Spirit, and that what Spirit creates is spiritual, like itself, and therefore without blemish. Spirit, being All-in-all, demonstrates that matter, unlike itself, is nothing; matter has no substance or reality.
