Several years ago, an article I had submitted to The Christian Science Publishing Society was ready to go to press. However, close to the deadline I received an email from one of the editors telling me that the article needed to be shortened. She suggested that perhaps the fastest way to shorten it was, with my permission, to omit the last paragraph. I felt the last paragraph was important and said, “If you can give me an hour, I will fix this.” She replied, “Well, that would be great.”
Even though I had made that promise, I was thinking, “Barbara, are you crazy? How can you possibly do this?” But then the thought came, “God will do it.” I pulled up the article on my computer screen and said out loud, “OK, Father, You’re on.”
