Don’t know what to do? Divine Mind does.

From the May 2022 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In 1984, I was an executive for a bottled water company. As a sponsor for that summer’s Olympic games in Los Angeles, we were awarded over three million tickets for 31 venues to distribute among employees, customers, and business associates. About two weeks before the games, one of the department managers came into my office in panic mode. It seemed that no one had written the computer program necessary to handle the ticket distribution. And now they had to do it in only two days.

I was stunned. The problem seemed insurmountable and I wondered why they came to me for help. My specialty was sales and marketing.

Although I had no expertise in writing computer programs, I did have experience in turning to God to reveal perfect solutions. Since God is infinite Mind, and I express this Mind, I knew that I could trust Mind for all the intelligence I needed. I sat down at my desk, calmed my thoughts, and listened to God. The first thing that came was one of my favorite lines in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy: “Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need” (p. 494). It was a great message to trust in God and not worry.
