this thread of God’s brilliance:
Christ
Immanuel
God with us‚
the true idea of God
in His infinite power
glory
and loving majesty
the collective rays of godly light
with which Jesus shone
in his full magnitude
illuminating the world
forever
past and present, future—
expressing eternality
this light was always there
is always here
multitudes today may turn their backs
but it shines on them too . . .
wise men and women
follow the star—
the light of Christ.
the feeders of the flocks,
shepherds,
are startled wide awake
by divine glory—
God will not allow them to miss
Love’s gift
but the townspeople were busy—
are ever busy still—
they did not see it
though the light is always there
the readers of prophecies knew of its coming
but did not bother to look
out the window
to behold God’s Christ
demonstrated in Jesus’ birth—
in all Love’s newborn moments
it was always there
it is always here
Immanuel
Christ
God with us
the advocate
the Comforter
the Truth!

to all.
