Praying helped me find a home

From the December 2025 issue of The Christian Science Journal

When the 2020 Covid lockdown began, I found it to be an impetus to pray about how to move forward in different areas of my life. Mary Baker Eddy’s poem “ ‘Feed My Sheep’ ” was a constant prayer. It begins,

Shepherd, show me how to go
O’er the hillside steep,
How to gather, how to sow,—
How to feed Thy sheep;
I will listen for Thy voice,
Lest my footsteps stray;
I will follow and rejoice
All the rugged way.
(Poems, p. 14)

I felt led to put my apartment on the market. I initially wondered if, because of the apartment’s location next to a weir, it might take longer to sell. I knew, however, that God had led me to this location in the first place, so I listened for His guidance on the right time to sell.
