CHRISTIAN SCIENCE is based on the allness of God, Spirit, and the perfection of His spiritual creations, man and the universe. This truth of God and man is revealed by the Christ, now and forever expressing the nature of God.
IN the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy extends this rousing invitation to all mankind to take stock of where they stand in daily life ( pp. 307, 308 ): "Above error's awful din, blackness, and chaos, the voice of Truth still calls: 'Adam, where art thou? Consciousness, where art thou? Art thou dwelling in the belief that mind is in matter, and that evil is mind, or art thou in the living faith that there is and can be but one God, and keeping His commandment?'" To keep God's commandment is to know no other than the one Spirit, the governing Principle and the only Life of all that is.

CHRIST JESUS was once asked ( Luke 10:29 ), "Who is my neighbour?" His simple answer contained in the Bible parable of the good Samaritan has set, from that day on, a standard for world brotherhood. To a Christian, the good Samaritan represents a perfect example of unselfed love in action, for he interrupted his scheduled journey, stopped what he was doing, and without a moment's hesitation came to the side of the injured traveler.
ALL the offices in Churches of Christ, Scientist, require conscious closeness to the divine Mind, God, the source of all inspiration, guidance, and activity. In no office is this more obviously true than in that of First Reader or Second Reader.
FOR centuries men have used salt not only to season their food, but also to preserve or conserve certain foods. In the Old Testament we even find an injunction applying particularly to the use of salt in the Jewish sacrificial rites prescribed by Moses.

FREEDOM , complete freedom, is man's precious heritage as the son of God, not only freedom from evil, but freedom to be the perfect man whom God makes in His likeness. Man's spiritual perfection includes freedom from mental and bodily suffering as surely as from social and civil bondage.
Nearly everyone has had to deal with falsehood at some time or another. Often a lie seems harmless enough, representing merely human opinions and rumors, but again it can be very dangerous or malicious.
