When we pray, "Thy will be done," are we announcing a desire to wait for God to do our work for us? What does it mean for God's will to be done? These questions come to Christian Scientists who are striving to reflect the divine government in dealings with others, in daily living, and in church affairs. Christ Jesus said when he was faced with the most severe trial of his life ( Luke 22:42 ), "Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
Through the study of Christian Science the fact that health is a condition of Mind is being more generally accepted by mankind. As a result of this, many of the false beliefs concerning health are being relinquished.
In moments of seeming gloom sincere seekers for Truth have clung to the comforting words in the forty-third chapter of Isaiah, "Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. " Many, through Christian Science, have caught a glimpse of the spiritual heritage which is theirs and have gained refreshment from the following words in the same chapter: "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
