At this hour of the twentieth century, rich in its promise of greater spiritual development and unfoldment, it is helpful to discern clearly the place of our beloved Leader in the fulfillment of Bible prophecy and her relationship to the Church of Christ, Scientist, and the Christian Science movement. The study of Christian Science fosters a natural desire to serve the Church of Christ, Scientist. Opportunities to gratify this desire are provided as our concept of Church and its activity is spiritualized.

In Christian Science growing up may be considered as growing upward, as ascending in thought, and as increasing in the understanding of one's higher nature. This higher nature, the Christ, knows no birth, maturity, or decay, but forever expresses the qualities of God, unchanging Life, Truth, and Love.

Who has not had at some time in his experience an inward intuition or inspiration that has given him courage in time of great stress, or pointed unerringly to the right human step, which has protected and delivered him from evil? Of course some may not recognize the angelic nature of these holy messages, but one who has felt this warmth of spiritual love in his heart has come to know the unfolding of an angel thought of God in human consciousness. In all ages the angels of God's presence have silenced the whispering suggestions of evil and have destroyed and annulled these fraudulent and delusive claims.

Yearning to understand the truth of all things, human thought has for centuries probed the vast unknown with what it calls the scientific method. The desire for dominion over every adverse circumstance has inspired a stupendous human labor which has built the whole great body of the physical sciences.
