SOME years ago at the close of a school term an English boy was presented by the headmaster with a book entitled, "From Log Cabin to White House. " The book was a biographical sketch of the life of Abraham Lincoln.
HAVING gained some spiritual understanding of man's eternal oneness with God, the student of Christian Science turns unreservedly to Him for help in all emergencies. He looks away from the mortal evidence of pain, poverty, crime, accident, destruction, contagion, or death to the truth of being, and sees fulfilled the promise found in the book of Isaiah, "When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.

What a privilege to have heard him bid the impotent one at the pool, "Rise"; and to have stood with him at the grave of Lazarus as he prayed.
THE word "identity" is derived from the Latin idem, meaning "the same," that is, having complete similarity. It means "selfsameness" and the continuity or persistence of individuality.
THE need of obtaining and maintaining a better sense of body is considered by a majority of mankind to be one of the greatest needs confronting the human race. SPIRITUAL sense is ever expectant of unfolding good, but material sense often reverses this right expectancy and persistently looks forward to a continuation of illness or depression, or whatever error has seemingly entrenched itself in human consciousness. Earnest students of Christian Science who have consistently adhered to its teachings over a period of years have as a rule had many proofs of the Christ-healing.
