When Moses was called of God to lead the Israelites out of their bondage to the Egyptians, the people faltered many times in their journey. At one such time Moses heard the command from God, "Speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward.

A happy and rewarding vocation is the natural desire of every person. But many feel disillusioned because purposeful and satisfying employment seems to elude them.

Moses found he could not transform the children of Israel, whom he led out of slavery in Egypt, into a free and united people in a few months. Their disobedience to God's commands caused them to wander forty years in the wilderness until only Joshua and Caleb were left of the original adults and the tribes were prepared for the battles with the enemies that stood between them and their possession of the Promised Land.

Available to the individual are spiritual forces which, when understood and utilized, have tremendous influence for good in human experience. When one awakens through the study and practice of Christian Science to his true nature as the reflection of God, Spirit, and identifies his consciousness with the divine, he finds great changes for good taking place.

There is a phase in a child's development which is familiar to many parents and provides food for thought in considering our progress as we ourselves grow up in the understanding of Christian Science. This particular phase comes when a little child is eager to do things for himself.

Certainly no individual in a Church of Christ, Scientist, is more important to the future of Christian Science than the Sunday School teacher. It is he who is assigned the task of laying the foundations of spiritual understanding for those who will become practitioners, Readers, lecturers, and branch church workers—those who will carry on the Christian Science movement in the years to come.
