In determining how to be rightly active, it is well for us to understand and acknowledge God as the source of all action. Divine Mind, God, is eternally active.

Who of us has not at times been tempted to be disturbed at the aggressive persistence of the carnal, or mortal, mind, attempting through propaganda media, such as radio, television, and newspapers, to make evil seem natural and even good? Perhaps after a time we tend to become indifferent, thinking there is nothing much we can do about medical commercials, sensational news reports, and the like. Or perhaps we just try to tune them out, so to speak, thinking that if we ignore them we won't be affected by them.
In childhood we are often given things outright, but, as a rule, the further we advance in life, the more we have to earn rewards of good. The writer best remembers those rewards in his early youth earned through direct efforts rather than those things given him outright, even though they were given with love.
The world believes in many races. In turn, this is a material belief for other erroneous convictions to attach themselves to —notions of superiority and inferiority, hatred, distrust, strife, and violence.
Mrs. Eddy was asked, " Is Christian Science based on the facts of both Spirit and matter? " She answered, "Christian Science is based on the facts of Spirit and its forms and representations, but these facts are the direct antipodes of the so-called facts of matter; and the eternal verities of Spirit assert themselves over their opposite, or matter, in the final destruction of all that is unlike Spirit.
