Elisha's Mission Takes Form

Following Elijah's translation, Elisha inherited his position and authority (see II Kings 2: 15). While still in the vicinity of Jericho, he was called upon to deal with a problem that was troubling the people of that area.

Too Late for Sunday School? Never!

Sometimes we hear a student of Christian Science remark, "How I regret that I did not find Science before I was twenty so that I could have attended the Christian Science Sunday School!" While realizing the great value of being a student in the Sunday School during one's early years, we also know that the Christian Science movement wisely provides for every member the fullest opportunity to partake of its blessings; and should the need arise for us to have any particular experience, divine Love will open the way. Elisha and his parents lived at Abelmcholah in northern Israel, several miles west of the Jordan River.

The Importance of Church Music

Throughout the Scriptures the importance of music in the religious life of the people was fully recognized. The first instance of congregational singing mentioned in the Bible is that of Moses and the children of Israel.

Dominion—God's Gift to Man

To those who awake to what life is as explained in Christian Science, health, harmony, and well-being are recognized as the normal and natural state of being. A lasting sense of health, harmony, and constructive accomplishment is experienced in the degree that one avails himself of dominion— God's gift to man.

Serving in a Christian Science Reading Room

"In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength," Isa. 30:15; Isaiah tells us.
