Testimonies of Healing

Christian Science came to me at a time of great physical and mental need; and, as a result, my whole outlook on life has been changed to a brighter prospect in every direction. In place of sickness and weakness, health and strength are being demonstrated; in place of a suspicious disposition, more love and trustfulness; in place of instability, more poise and confidence.

It is over nine years since Christian Science was recommended to me, and each year has revealed more of the Christ, Truth, as Christian Science has been demonstrated in my life. From the first visit of a practitioner I was healed of taking medicine.

I have known of Christian Science since April, 1922. In August of the same year I commenced to read the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

With a heart filled with gratitude I wish to testify to the great blessings which I have received through Christian Science. Nine years ago, while visiting my sisters, I was healed of chronic nervous indigestion, from which I had suffered for seventeen years.

I want to tell the world how glad and thankful I am for all that Christian Science has done for me. For years I took many kinds of medicine prescribed by kind and well-meaning physicians, all of which proved to be only temporary helps.

Christian Science is doing wonderful things for me. It is changing my life from one of fear, nervousness, and depression to one of joy and happiness; it is overcoming many faults of character, especially, to a large extent, an irritable temper and seeming resentment.

It is with a deep feeling of gratitude to our Father-Mother God and to Christ Jesus. that I wish to testify to all the many blessings, physical and mental, I have received.

It would take a volume to tell of all that Christian Science has done for us. My husband was restored to health after the doctors had given him up as incurable.

With my thoughts full of gratitude to God, whom I have learned to know as Love, and to the dear woman, Mary Baker Eddy, who made it possible for me to understand Him through reading her book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," I give this testimony. I first saw Science and Health in September, 1912, and knew it was what I needed.

It is now a little more than four years since I began the study of Christian Science. I should like to give testimony to a few of the healings I have had since then.
