Testimonies of Healing

In 1907 I had performed a surgical operation of a very serious nature, the result of which was very disappointing, as the condition in which I was left was more distressing than that for which I had been operated upon. In February of the following year the same doctors again operated, promising to relieve me, but with no results whatever.

I wish to relate how I was freed from an error, through an experience which transformed my whole life. When a child I was considered very nervous.

It is with a deep sense of gratitude for Christian Science that I gladly take this opportunity to state what it has done for me. Although I had been interested in Christian Science for years, I believed it to be of human origin, and that it was only one more sect added to the great number already existing.

I desire to add to the "well-authenticated records of the cure, by herself and her students through mental surgery alone, of broken bones, dislocated joints, and spinal vertebrae," referred to by Mrs. Eddy on page 402 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

It is with a deep sense of gratitude for Christian Science that I add my testimony. Christian Science came to my notice over eight years ago.

I should like to express my gratitude for the healing of my little girl. She was very ill when a doctor saw her.

God has done great things for me, and I feel it a duty and privilege to give full glory to His name. Due to a remarkable physical healing I received, as the result of a Christian Science treatment, I became vitally interested in God and His Word.

Something over seven years ago a new-found friend invited me to a Christian Science Wednesday evening testimony meeting. I have never ceased to be grateful for this invitation, which came at such a needful time, and I now see that it was divine Love using this means of leading me out of the wilderness of wrong thinking and giving me a higher and broader concept of God and His creation.

I heard of Christian Science for the first time in 1907. I was suffering physically and was constantly under medical treatment; but as medicine was of no avail, I decided to seek healing in Christian Science.

Since accepting Christian Science as the truth about God and man, I have had many blessings. One of these was the healing of my eyes.
