Testimonies of Healing

It is with an awakened sense of appreciation for the testimonies in our periodicals that I desire to express my gratitude for Christian Science. I have been healed of rheumatism in the knees.

In early girlhood I was injured by a terrible fall which caused great pain in my back, from which I suffered for over fifteen years. I tried different doctors and medicines, but found no relief and was growing worse.

When Christian Science found me I was surely in the bottomless pit and knew no way of escape. In the first place my home was most inharmonious.

Through loving obedience to God alone can I express my gratitude for the many blessings received through the knowledge and application of Christian Science. Five years ago I began reading the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and was entirely healed of a very nervous condition.

I wish to express gratitude for Christian Science and for what it is doing for me and mine, as well as for the world in general. The first experience I had with Christian Science was in 1910.

In 1907 I had performed a surgical operation of a very serious nature, the result of which was very disappointing, as the condition in which I was left was more distressing than that for which I had been operated upon. In February of the following year the same doctors again operated, promising to relieve me, but with no results whatever.

I wish to relate how I was freed from an error, through an experience which transformed my whole life. When a child I was considered very nervous.

It is with a deep sense of gratitude for Christian Science that I gladly take this opportunity to state what it has done for me. Although I had been interested in Christian Science for years, I believed it to be of human origin, and that it was only one more sect added to the great number already existing.

I desire to add to the "well-authenticated records of the cure, by herself and her students through mental surgery alone, of broken bones, dislocated joints, and spinal vertebrae," referred to by Mrs. Eddy on page 402 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

It is with a deep sense of gratitude for Christian Science that I add my testimony. Christian Science came to my notice over eight years ago.
