Testimonies of Healing

Over two years ago I was healed through Christian Science of stomach and bowel trouble. A doctor pronounced it catarrh of the stomach, and I had to use a stomach pump twice a day for two years.

I feel that I cannot wait any longer to express publicly my gratitude for Christian Science in a general way, and also in particular, in the case of my eighteen months' old boy. One evening, about the middle of June, 1912, the baby tripped over a rug and fell on his feeding-bottle, knocking out one of his upper front teeth.

I gladly avail myself of the privilege offered us to express our gratitude through the Christian Science periodicals. After the wonderful healing of my father through Christian Science, I turned to it for help in my own case.

With a thankful heart I can testify that my eyes have been restored to a normal condition by Christian Science. Some time ago they were very bad, and I suffered intense pain in them for a couple of days.

It is a joy to tell others of the many changes which have come into my life through the action of Christian Science. I have been completely healed of a weak back which gave me constant pain, and which was supposedly caused by three different falls.

It is with a heart full of love to God, and also gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, that I give this testimony in acknowledgment of what Christian Science has done for me.

Christian Science has brought many blessings into our home, and has made us thankful beyond expression. Whenever we have asked for help, we have not asked in vain.

I have received so many blessings through Christian Science that I consider it a privilege to tell others of my healing, and I hope that my testimony may be a help to some other slave to the tobacco habit. I began to use tobacco at the age of seventeen, and from the first used it to excess, continuing to do so for forty-three years.

The gratitude of those who know the healing power of Truth is greater than words can express, and it is my hope that this testimony may help some one to seek and receive healing, even as I have sought and received it, in Christian Science. In 1910 I was very ill, and the doctors diagnosed my case as an abnormal growth.

AN incident of more than passing moment has called to my attention the fact that, although I have often spoken of my healing at the Wednesday evening meetings, I have never given my testimony to the world through the channel afforded for that purpose by our Leader's foresight, namely, our periodicals. The particular epoch in my career which has to do with my healing through Christian Science requires somewhat of a preface.
