Testimonies of Healing

In March, 1912, while hurrying to catch a street-car, I fell over an irregularity in the pavement and seriously injured my ankle. With assistance I was able to reach and board the car, and to continue the trip to my place of business, which was possibly three miles away.

From early childhood I had suffered with stomach trouble. As I grew older this, and other ills which had appeared, increased in severity, so that I was a most irritable and unhappy girl up to the age of seventeen.

Two or three years ago our daughter, then a year and eight months old, was ruptured. For five months she wore a band as a physician directed, but the injury did not heal.

I am glad to testify to the wonderful healing of my wife through Christian Science treatment. I may add that she scarcely realized how serious her condition was when the practitioner began treatment.

I now enjoy splendid health, and have no fear of a return of the conditions which existed when I appealed to a Christian Science practitioner for help in August, 1911. I had then been under constant medical attendance since the previous March, suffering from what is called nervous collapse, but I had not received the slightest benefit.

One morning in August, 1912, I awakened with paralysis, my right side seeming to be lifeless. I had my daughter telephone to a practitioner for Christian Science treatment, and to my surprise I was enabled to go to her office after the fourth treatment, and at the end of five more treatments I was entirely well.

My acquaintance with Christian Science dates back four years, and during all this time I have had frequent opportunity to prove the truth of its teachings. When I took up the study of this religion, our little boy was subject to severe colds whenever I bathed him, until finally I could bathe him but once in two weeks, when the cold would regularly recur.

I feel it a duty to write my testimony, in the hope that it may help some one. When staying in Holland in the year 1906, my cousin suddenly became very ill, and the doctor pronounced her case to be cerebral disease.

IT was in 1902 that I first heard of Christian Science. I was then in great trouble in every way, but felt a dogged determination not to acknowledge myself beaten.

Gratitude for the many blessings which Christian Science has brought to me impels me to send this testimony. I was brought into this truth through physical healing a few years ago.
