Testimonies of Healing

I have hesitated to give my testimony for the reason, which no doubt many others have, of my inability to express in words the countless blessings that have come to me and mine within the past seven years, through the ministry and knowledge of Christian Science. A recent victory of spiritual law over material belief, made manifest in one of my children, has brought me to a place where I feel it a duty to God and to mankind to testify publicly.

SO abundant are the blessings which have come to me through Christian Science I cannot withhold my testimony, hoping it may lead some one to Truth. It came to me at a time when I was greatly in need of relief.

During my experience in Christian Science I have been helped many times, one case being the healing of a carbuncle. One night when I retired I noticed a small red spot on my cheek, but did not pay any attention to it.

I am glad to testify to healing received by me in Christian Science. I had an eruption on my face which caused me a great deal of trouble; but I applied to a Christian Science practitioner for help, and after receiving two or three treatments it left, and there is no sign of its return.

The psalmist says: "O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. " Any one who has experienced so much of the divine goodness as I would be remiss in duty should he fail to acknowledge it.

I wish to give my testimony to the benefit which Christian Science has been to myself and children. I have been interested in it over a year, and we have been helped out of many ailments, such as headache, a bowel disorder, colds, the effects of poison-ivy (which was healed in a couple of days through the reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.

It is with a feeling of love and gratitude to God that I wish to add my testimony to the many given in the Journal , for they have been very helpful to me. Christian Science has been our only remedy for over three years, and has healed the members of our family of various ills.

To show my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me, and possibly to be a benefit to some one who is wandering in the shadows of despair, and who needs the "great Physician," I send this testimony, in proof of God's care of those who trust Him. For fifty years I suffered from a stomach ailment, with accompanying ills, such as serious heart trouble, frequent and violent headaches, lasting always twenty-four hours and often longer; also rectal and bowel trouble for which I took medicine daily for several years, until it was pronounced incurable, and I was assured that I could never get more than temporary relief.

I am very thankful for Christian Science and would like to express my gratitude in a recent demonstration over a fall. In going into a room I slipped on the polished floor and in falling injured my hand.

This healing truth, known as Christian Science, came to me in the darkest hour of my life, when the last vestige of hope had departed. The most approved medical methods had been tried and had failed, so I stood alone in discouragement, almost in despair, held down by the constant fear of a so-called hereditary disease.
