Testimonies of Healing
About ten years ago my attention was called to Christian Science by the healing of my wife through her study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.
When Christian Science found me over six years ago, I was a sufferer from severe stomach trouble. I had tried different climates, traveling from East to West, also different doctors.
WHILE visiting in a New England city in June, 1903, my little daughter, aged eleven years, met with an accident, resulting in a compound fracture of the left leg, about four inches above the ankle. There were also many bruises upon the body, a badly swollen eye, and a scalp wound, while a hemorrhage seemed to indicate internal injuries.
I wish to testify to the blessings received through Christian Science, and I do so with a grateful heart. For about ten years I suffered greatly with nervousness.
It is with a heart full of gratitude that I testify to the blessings which have come to me through Christian Science. While riding on his bicycle, my son ran against an automobile.
It is with a sense of deep gratitude that I testify to the power of Truth and of ever-present Love, for in so doing I feel that I am fulfilling a sacred duty. For several years I suffered pain in the left arm, and though I used material remedies, I experienced only temporary relief.
When I came to Christian Science two years ago, I had been suffering with an abdominal trouble for fourteen years, and had been operated upon three times during the last year. I then tried a so-called nature-cure and experienced some relief; but later the trouble returned, and the attacks were more severe.
It is with a grateful heart that I testify to what Christian Science has done for me and for my sister. Since youth I had suffered with severe attacks of headache; my lungs were weak, I had hemorrhages and a cough, and suffered very much with my stomach, so that it seemed impossible for me to do without medicines.
I became interested in Christian Science four years ago through the healing of my husband. For five months he suffered from what the doctor called sciatic rheumatism.
Thinking that it may be a benefit to some one, and wishing to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me, I send in this testimony. When I was eleven years old, my mother passed on, with what is known as hereditary lung trouble.
