Testimonies of Healing

I have long received freely the benefits of Christian Science without having voiced a word of gratitude, but I am indeed grateful, and grow more so as I understand better the meaning of the word. I hardly know where to begin to count my blessings, as Christian Science is a constant help to me.

I would like everybody to know about my wonderful healing. About three years ago I met with an accident as I was working in a machine shop.

Over a year ago a trouble which I had felt off and on for some time became so serious that I consulted a physician, who said it was an affection of the nerves in my right arm and shoulder. He also said that as it was of long standing it would take a long time to cure; but the remedies he gave did not relieve me.

In August, 1907, my brother met with an accident while at work. He was caught in a belt, was thrown against a casting, and when picked up was unconscious.

I give the following testimony with a sense of deep gratitude for the blessings which Christian Science has brought to me and mine. About two years ago my health failed through strenuous mental work.

In Isaiah we read: "Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear. " That this is a demonstrable fact I have had overwhelming proof.

NEITHER pen nor tongue can ever express my gratitude to God for Christian Science, but this is a feeble attempt to tell of the many blessings it has brought into my life. I was in bed for three months, under the care of four doctors, who did the best for me they could.

From my earliest recollection, I was considered delicate and was always under medical treatment for some ailment. After marriage I had treatment from physicians in this country and in Europe, receiving at times some relief but no permanent restoration, and the difficulties gradually became more acute.

It was in July, 1905, that Christian Science was brought to my notice. Six months prior to that found me in very poor health, with a troublesome cough and unable to eat or sleep as a healthy person should.
