Testimonies of Healing

I should like to express my gratitude for a demonstration of the healing power of Truth which took place recently one Monday my husband was suddenly taken alarmingly ill. He was delirious, and seemed to be in such a critical condition that I called in a doctor, fearing possible complications with the state laws here, also because I was alone in the house and I had always had great fear of mental aberration, seemingly dreading it more than anything else.

My family and myself have every reason to be grateful for all that Christian Science has done for us. One Sunday evening in May.

For many years I suffered from extreme nervousness, caused by a local trouble for which I underwent an operation, but with no relief. Later, I was told by another physician that the operation must be performed again, as the first one had not healed properly.

For twenty years I was troubled with an eruption on the face. During those years I tried every known specialist through the western states in seeking a cure.

Eleven years ago I was healed of heart trouble, from which I had suffered ever since I was a little girl up to the time I was thirty-two years old. At that time the doctors had said I could live but a short time, and my husband and family were in despair when I was persuaded to try Christian Science.

With love and gratitude I testify that Christian Science has been a never-failing inspiration since its entrance into my life. It has taught me to look beyond material things into reality.

With a heart full of gratitude and praise to God for Christian Science, I wish to affirm the above statement of my sister. I was with her from the beginning of her treatment in Christian Science, watching the struggles, strivings, and demonstrations of the truth wrought through the right understanding of God as taught in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

 I am truly grateful for Christian Science and for what it has done for me. I sought it for healing, which seemed to come to me slowly and through great effort to obtain the truth which makes free, but I can say that every effort met its reward in a higher understanding and a clearer perception of the healing and redemptive Christ, as given in the Scriptures and made available through "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.

My deep gratitude for what Christian Science has brought to me can only be expressed in the words of the psalmist: "O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. " This is what Christian Science has proved to me.

WHEN , over two years ago, sick, discouraged, and ready to die, Christian Science found me, and I was healed of all my diseases, my gratitude could have been more easily expressed, but as blessings have multiplied it has so grown and overflown speech and pen, that the joy of my freedom grows more and more difficult to utter. To the suffering world, however, and to the many weary hearts, I owe it to make a brief acknowledgment of my wonderful healing.
