Testimonies of Healing

While At Work one day, I was suddenly overcome with dizziness and illness. I managed to get to a phone to call a Christian Science practitioner, excused myself from the job, and got to my car, where I could rest and pray.

Several years Ago I injured my shoulder in a fall. After having my husband help me back on my feet, I went home and called a Christian Science practitioner for help through prayer.

For the past year, I have been choosing spiritual topics that I want to give deeper thought to and thinking about them one at a time throughout the day for several days. This has been the most wonderful experience for me.

About a year ago , I bit into a hard roll and immediately felt a change in one of my lower teeth, along with a sensation of pain. A week later I was still in pain, so I called my dentist and told her what had happened.

I wish to express my deep and sincere gratitude for Mary Baker Eddy and her wonderful discovery, Christian Science, and for her book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Through studying this book and demonstrating the truths found in it, I have experienced good health for over sixty years.

Early one Sunday morning before church, our youngest daughter came into our bedroom, complaining of bug bites on her legs. She did have several spots on her legs, although they did not appear to be the result of an insect.

Through the prayers of a Christian Science practitioner, my mother saw her baby son instantly healed of a physical ailment that an operation had not corrected, and she became seriously interested in this religion. We children attended the Christian Science Sunday School regularly, and Christian Science has been my way of life ever since—protecting me as a young girl from any temptation to drink or smoke, and guiding me to good friendships and a very happy and long-lasting marriage.

My wife and I have relied on Christian Science in every aspect of our daily living since 1942, experiencing numerous healings involving our children and grandchildren, and in our business as well. My last testimony was published in the 1950s, and I feel it is certainly time again to publicy express my gratitude to God for all His blessings.

Our youngest daughter, whom we had adopted, had severely bowed legs. As she grew, she was able to walk, but her legs were not normal in appearance.

My very first healing was such a joy to me, and it came after reading passages from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. I had just been given the book as part of a wedding present by my new father-in-law, when I received a telephone call, telling of the sudden passing of my own father.
