Testimonies of Healing

During the First World War, my father was discharged from the army as unfit for duty because of a perforated eardrum from a bomb blast. As a civilian, he spent many years trying every medical treatment and patent medicine that he could find, but to no avail.

When my husband and I found that we were expecting our first child, we were extremely surprised. We had been married only two years, and our plan was to wait several more before thinking about a family.

Some months back a growth had developed in my armpit. This grew to a very alarming and painful state just as I was preparing for a teaching contract at a college.

WHAT A TRUE BLESSING Christian Science has been to me. I have relied on it for healings of broken ankles, cuts, burns, financial difficulties, relationship problems, and numerous other difficulties.

SOMETIMES A HEALING stands out as a beacon that really assures us and confirms our trust in God as the only real power and healer. This happened to me shortly after leaving Sunday School.

I HAD JUST been learning about the need to be consistent and persistent in holding to divine Truth, when an opportunity to demonstrate the beneficial effect of doing so came along. I gradually became aware of a pain in my breast.

I'D LIKE TO SHARE A FEW of the many wonderful healings I have had through relying on Christian Science over the last twenty-five years. Right after I began reading Science and Health, my attention was drawn to several warts growing on the back of my hand.

THE FOLLOWING healing marked an important step in my spiritual growth and understanding. As a child I attended a Christian Science Sunday School, where God's love for all His children was taught each Sunday; and I have always felt that through prayer, God does answer our every need.

A WHILE AGO, I began to experience a dull ache in my lower back and light menstrual cramps. This was the obnoxious, yet tolerable pain I had grown so accustomed to as an unavoidable part of my period.
