Testimonies of Healing

Some time ago I noticed an unusual-looking mole on my leg. At first I didn't pay much attention to it.

Five summers ago, I took on a home project requiring two tons of concrete to form a flume. I decided to buy 50 bags (4,000 pounds) of concrete and do the project myself.

Through applying the truths explained in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, my family and I have had many blessings. This testimony is about one of them.

When I was an undergraduate student, maintaining a 3. 0 gradepoint average would enable a student to defer his Army draft status.

When I was in university, I was working backstage on a play. One night after the show, I came down with severe stomach pain.

In May Of 1956 I was a junior executive on my way to meet with a valued customer for a round of golf. Suddenly, I became violently ill, so I went home, where I asked my wife to call the customer to explain the emergency.

I want to share my gratitude for the beautiful healing of our daughter. When she became ill, one of the first things I had to eradicate was the fear of responsibility, as my Mum and Dad (to whom I often turn for help in prayer) were going to be away.

I had slumped into a deep depression, overwhelmed by circumstances that I felt powerless to do anything about. Fear was a constant companion.

The first part of this experience started with me at the top of a twenty-foot extension ladder and ended with me flat on my back on the frozen ground. I was not able to move because of the severe pain, but over the next hour and a half my wife and a friend were able eventually to get me into bed.
