How GRATEFUL I am for each copy of the monthly Journal and for the weekly issues of the Christian Science Sentinel. They are always filled with helpful spiritual ideas.

My husband and I met while working in the same business. We fell in love and decided to marry.

Our son passed on almost four years ago from a serious illness after months of medical treatment that included two operations. One night, a short time after his passing, I was alone and thinking about him and what he had gone through.

Many Years Ago , when our children were about 10 and 12, I built a platform for them to jump off while holding on to a rope swing. To test the rope's strength, I climbed the platform, sat on the swing seat, and jumped off.

Some time ago I had a severe fall. I was helped up from the floor, but was unable to walk.

Shortly after the birth of my son, we moved to another state. The second week we were there, the baby woke one night screaming and crying, with a rash over his entire body.

At the time I was introduced to Christian Science, I was divorced and had full custody of my two children, aged two and four. I had a high-school education and no business experience, but I loved my children and knew I would find a way to support them.

I HAD A HEALING LAST FALL that has meant a lot to me, because I felt so quickly supported and cared for by God. One Friday morning I experienced episodes of painful tightening in my chest and upper body.

One morning I felt as though I was coming down with a cold or the flu. I immediately prayed, and declared that I could not be subject to sickness because I was God's perfect child.

I was introduced to Christian Science four years ago, when I was looking for a church to join so that my eight-year-old son would have a good Sunday School experience. A co-worker had described the Christian Science Sunday School as a very special place, where the children learn that God is Love.
