Testimonies of Healing

One icy day in January I slipped and fell, striking my back on the step outside my front door. As I was going down, I kept denying fear, saying, "Oh, no, you don't! You are not going to attach yourself to me, and I am not going to accept any part of you.

Through the years as I have ceased from willful planning and have prayed to understand God's idea, the way has unfolded with clarity and joy. At about the age of ten I felt a deep need for religious training and asked permission to attend a Christian Science Sunday School, where I had been a visitor on several occasions.

There never will be words to express the gratitude my family and I have for what Christian Science has done for us since we first turned completely to this teaching in a time of dire need many years ago. We had exhausted all human help.

My mother introduced Christian Science to me when our children were small, and I have depended upon it ever since for the working out of all types of problems. An early physical healing was one of pain caused from an internal disorder.

I heard of Christian Science for the first time when I started dating the boy I later married. He had been a pupil in the Christian Science Sunday School from an early age, and his parents were devout students of this religion.

My mother was a semi-invalid for a long time. She had had two operations within two years.

Even when I was a child in my first school years, religious instruction was my favorite hour, and the life and works of Jesus impressed me deeply. Although I always enjoyed attending services with my parents at the Evangelical Church in Russia, where I was born and grew up, nevertheless I was unable to take a satisfying impression home with me.

I am everlastingly grateful for Christian Science, for the protection and care it gives us when we faithfully study each day with a sincere desire to gain more spiritual understanding. On page 315 in the textbook, Science and Health , Mrs.

I am deeply grateful for the precious privilege of being a student of Christian Science. Through the study of its teachings and application of the rules as given in the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs.

Through diligent study and consecrated service in the Cause of Christian Science I have experienced the natural increased abundance which comes with increased spiritual understanding. I have learned that abundance is truly the law of God.
