When our daughter was almost two years old, we noticed she began to limp slightly. We started to do our prayerful metaphysical work, as we are taught in Christian Science, but over a period of weeks things got worse instead of better.
A few short years ago I had no knowledge whatever of Christian Science. While my wife had attended the Christian Science Sunday School as a child, the subject was never mentioned or discussed in almost eight years of marriage.
As I recall the fine healings my children and I have received through applying the truths of Christian Science, my heart overflows with gratitude to God. My very first healing in Christian Science was an instantaneous one of crossed eyes when I was a young teen-ager. Some years later, in spite of the specialist's predictions on account of my being too small, harmonious childbirth, without labor, took place without any assistance other than that of a Christian Science midwife.
Many years ago, as I sat in the office of our family physician, having just been given another thorough examination, I heard these words, "Young lady, you are going to have to try Christian Science as I can do nothing more for you. There is just nothing else left.
My first testimony was published in the Christian Science Sentinel of August 12, 1961. I am happy to say the healings related there have remained permanent.
