Testimonies of Healing

Christian Science came to me like the dawn of morning after long hours of night watching. It was the answer to a lifelong desire for an understanding of God and my relation to Him.

In the summer of 1902 I first read the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.

I desire to express my gratitude to the great Giver of all good, for the manifold blessings that have come into my life since I took up the study of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.

With deep gratitude to God for Christian Science, through which I am coming to know Him as He is, I want to tell of a few of the many benefits I have received, hoping that through my testimony others may also be led to Christ, Truth. Eighteen years ago, after a physical and mental strain of fifteen months' duration, I developed what is known as nervous indigestion.

It is with heartfelt and loving gratitude for the teachings of Christian Science that I am sending this testimony, with the earnest hope that some one may' be helped as I have been by reading testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals. I did not come into Christian Science for any physical need, but because when this truth was first presented to me six years ago I was in the deepest trouble; life seemed unlivable, all was discord, sadness, and no hope of matters being any better; but "man's extremity is God's opportunity.

For several years I was a semi-invalid, and during a period of four years did not have a natural movement of the bowels. I had almost constant headaches with frequent severe attacks which lasted two or three days.

It is with sincere and heartfelt gratitude that I send this testimony of what Christian Science has done for me. When it came to me about seven years ago, I was physically ill, and mentally despondent and discouraged.

During the eight years that I have been interested in Christian Science I have been the recipient of many, many blessings. Colds, burns, a rash, trouble with my teeth, and headaches have been destroyed by Truth.

I want to express my gratitude for God's great blessing, Christian Science, and for what it has done for me and mine. I have been completely healed of consumption of the bones, and have gained in weight and strength.

I have received so much help from reading the testimonies in the Sentinels and Journals that I want to send mine, hoping it will benefit others as I have been benefited. I did not take up the study of Christian Science for physical healing.
