Testimonies of Healing

LAST SEPTEMBER on my way to church, I fell, turning my foot on its side. I heard a snap.

WALKING HOME FROM WORK one Friday evening last summer, I felt something uncomfortable in my chest every time one of my arms swung forward in rhythm with my stride. I touched the area to see what was causing the discomfort and found a small, hard lump on my chest.

IT HAPPENED UNEXPECTEDLY. But this time, my failing health brought me to the point of being between life and death.

EIGHTEEN YEARS AGO I was diagnosed with vaginal cancer. The gynecologist who had examined me told me I would need to have surgery.

WHILE RETURNING HOME from a vacation, I severely twisted my ankle getting off an airport shuttle bus. The ankle swelled dramatically, and I could not walk without intense pain.

SEVERAL YEARS AGO when I was in college, I noticed a lump forming under my jaw. After awhile I started having a distasteful discharge in my mouth.

My first healing in Christian Science was of the belief that suicide would end the misery I was feeling about the breakup of my marriage and losing my husband to someone else. It felt as if I was surrounded by a wall and unable to get out.

ABOUT EIGHT YEARS AGO, I began experiencing irritation in both of my eyes. Each morning when I awoke, there would be a discharge on my eyelids.

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE has blessed my life abundantly, and I am grateful for the many healings both my family and I have experienced. At one time I was married to a United Methodist minister.

ONE MORNING I woke up with pain in my chest. At first I was worried, but I tried not to give the discomfort too much importance.
