Testimonies of Healing

Words cannot express my gratitude to God for Christian Science. I am trying to live a life of love daily, so that I may thus acknowledge the great debt I owe to God.

It is with thankfulness for the many blessings received through Christian Science, that I send this testimony. Two years ago, while I was lying in a hospital, waiting to undergo an operation for a trouble of six years' standing, my sister, a Christian Scientist, came to see me.

I desire to express my deep gratitude to God for what Christian Science has done for me. Having been for many years a great sufferer from asthma and bronchitis, and finding no relief from doctors, I felt so weak and depressed that I thought it would be necessary for me to give up my occupation.

It is with joy and gratitude that I write this testimony. Five years ago I was healed of the worst form of goitre through Christian Science treatment.

I have gained the courage, industry, and honest gratitude to acknowledge, in a very small degree, the blessings that have come to me from such apprehension of Christian Science as I have attained. Many years ago, when my mother came into some knowledge of Christian Science, my health became improved, and, among other things, malaria and intermittent fever disappeared.

I have read the Journal and Sentinel for nearly three years, and have derived much benefit in so doing, especially from the testimonies. Christian Science was first brought to my notice in 1897, and I immediately began to study "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" and the periodicals.

For ten years or more I was a partial invalid, with not the least hope of being well, or even relieved from pain which seemed to be more than any human being could bear. At times I had to keep hot poultices over my bowels the whole night long, to get even the least relief from a hardness which had formed in the lower part of the abdomen.

No one has more reason to be grateful to the Giver of all good and perfect gifts, and to the Founder of Christian Science, than myself, and when I read of the many who have assimilated the beauties of this wonderful Science by quietly and peacefully reading Mrs. Eddy's works, t is a matter of regret to me that I should have to come in "under the rod.

I would like to express my heartfelt thankfulness for the manifold blessings received through Christian Science. It is now about five and a half years since I first heard of it.

WHEN a child, I was suddenly attacked by blood-poisoning. Before that time I had always been perfectly well and strong, but from then my health was apparently destroyed.
