Testimonies of Healing

On a cross-country harrier race of two laps, we had to cross a barbed wire fence over which a sack had been placed. On the first lap I cleared the fence, but the second time my leg lightly scraped a barb on the top wire.

When our first son was born, the doctor kindly told me to hold on to the side of the bed and grip it when the pain got difficult. But the birth took place so quickly that I never even gripped the bed.

While my wife and I were flying from California to London, our aircraft encountered significant turbulence. We belted ourselves firmly in our seats, but the situation was frightening.

I would like to give gratitude for a physical healing I experienced recently. Early one morning, as I was studying the weekly Bible Lesson (found in the Christian Science Quarterly ), I experienced what appeared to be a mild heart attack.

One Sunday I took my dog for a walk. It was great to watch her run at top speed and have so much freedom.

My name is Kimberly Manning, and I was eight years old when this happened. When I was at my friend's house, we were playing a game in the spa where we swam to the bottom of the spa to try to make our voices sound different.

One morning , early in the year, I woke conscious of a sharp pain in my side. I immediately declared the truth, knowing to the best of my ability my spiritual selfhood— my sonship with God —and the nothingness of error.

For several years I'd had a small blemish on my face, close to my hairline. I had occasionally tried to heal this through prayer, but no healing resulted.

When I was a little girl my mother was an invalid. A neighbor gave her a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, and she was healed and lived a full and joyously active life.

I would like to share my gratitude and deep appreciation for the teachings of Christian Science. They have given me comfort, healing, and direction since I was a child.
