Testimonies of Healing

When healing comes and normalcy returns, there aren't words to describe the gratitude this brings. When false traits of character are seen and replaced with the true nature of man in God's likeness, the feeling of regeneration and renewal is awesome.

When our son was about two years old he began to have symptoms of what I suspected was leukemia. I was familiar with these symptoms because I had known two children with this disease.

One week while I was studying the Bible Lesson on the subject of "God the Only Cause and Creator," it became clear to me that there can be no opposite to God's goodness. Since God fills all space, there can be no opposite, no room for anything unlike Him.

In 1988 we were blessed with the arrival of our third daughter. Before her birth there were many opportunities to prove through the practice of Christian Science that God is man's Life.

Recently I was loading a wheelbarrow with roof shingles when I stepped on a long shingle nail, which went through my shoe deep into my foot. I removed it immediately.

For over forty years my wife and I lived in a large Edwardian house. Up until several years ago the accommodation was shared with friends and relatives.

I am very grateful that Christian Science has taught me I can turn to God in every need and know that my prayers will be answered. God is our Parent, friend, guide, and only physician.

My parents were brought up in a missionary school. Later, in their twenties, they became students of Christian Science, which they learned about through reading copies of the Christian Science Sentinel.

I will never cease to be grateful that I knew of Christian Science at a very young age. I attended a Christian Science Sunday School as a child and experienced many healings during those years.

I would like to share my very first experience of Christian Science healing. When I was a young mother with an infant son, I went to live with some relatives for a period of time.
