A physician who has recently been in Boston, to inquire into Metaphysical Healing, says that his attention was called thereto by the restoration, in an hour, of an injured spine, which had been bent so much out of place, by a falling tree, that breathing was difficult. Such a wonderful work was wrought, in the presence of a Christian Scientist, that when the doctors came they could only look on amazed, scarcely able to discover a bruise where the blow had fallen.
Miss M. E. B., cured in one week, of loss of memory and mental weakness. Her physicians had removed her from school for one year. She was restored after one week, and made up for the weeks of study she had lost. She is now perfectly well.
Mrs. A. C., cured of rheumatism. While I was talking Christian Science, before I began to treat, she was brought to me a cripple, just able to walk, with support, and in pain. She had not been free from pain since girlhood, but she walked home as well as the lady who brought her, and she has been well and strong ever since.
I treated a lady in Boston three days, for a belief of tumor, and told her I would continue the treatment after my return home. After I reached home a letter came from her saying that she did not need any more help. The regular physicians had given up the case before I saw her.
I spent a few hours with a lady of eighty-six, who said she had not been able to turn herself over in bed, at any time for three years, without extreme difficulty, and much of the time not at all. She woke the next morning, utterly surprised to find that she had turned over during the night, without knowing it.
