I First came to Christian Science for help in February, 1902. For some time I had been troubled with lumbago, and cramps in my legs, feet, and hands. These troubles, coupled with worry, discouragement, and fear, finally terminated in an attack of sciatic rheumatism.
It is useless for me to try to picture the distress of mind and body that was endured before I would give up and consent to try Christian Science.
I called on a practitioner at 3 p.m., so lame and stiff I could scarcely get on or off the cars and walk up the steps to his house. I left his house at 5 p.m. feeling free from pain and so well and happy that I walked home, a distance of three miles. My first visit and treatment was on Saturday, and I went to my work again the next Tuesday, feeling like a new man. This, briefly told, is my first experience with Christian Science.
