I wish to express my gratitude for benefits received from Christian Science. A few years ago, while living in London, I suffered severely from what is called neurasthenia. My work there, too, was not congenial. Having been introduced to the study of Christian Science several years before this, I tried to overcome through my knowledge of the truth the errors of self-condemnation and fear, but finally became helpless physically, mentally, and morally. I received help from many Christian Science friends, and soon I was able to realize the power of God, good. My circumstances having changed entirely, I left London very harmoniously, and am now engaged in interesting and congenial work. My experience has encouraged me to study and demonstrate the truth as it is revealed in Mrs. Eddy's text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
There has been no return of the trouble, but rather a fuller realization day by day of perfect health. Through the daily study of the Lessons given in the Quarterly, which never fail to inspire and teach, my life has become much happier, and I have been able to demonstrate over limitations in my daily work, most noticeably in the removal of much fear, which would not have been overcome without the light of Christian Science. Perfection and ultimate harmony often seem a long way off, for so many problems appear to require immediate solution; but I try to remember that good cannot be demonstrated except step by step, and to be always conscious of the Father's loving care.—Farnham, England.
