When Christian Science found me I had for five years been reaching out to every material promise of relief from physical and mental suffering. Not finding the much needed help through these methods, in an hour of agonizing pain and discouragement I turned to Christian Science. I knew nothing of this teaching, though I had heard of a number of people who had experienced physical healing through its application. This to me new and wonderful truth, so beautifully reflected and expressed through the faithful practitioner, accomplished that for which it was sent, and I left her home with my views about life completely changed, having been given the rock upon which I could firmly stand. During the four years since this experience, through the prayerful study of this Science and the effort to apply it to my every need, many so-called abnormal conditions, both mental and physical, have become normal.
I wish especially to mention the healing of severe eye strain and a structural defect of the eyes. Glasses had been worn for fourteen years, and I could not do without them even for a few moments without severe pain and inflammation resulting. An eye specialist had told me that I would always have to wear them, but. with the loving help of a practitioner I was able to discard them without experiencing the slightest difficulty, and my eyes are perfectly healed.
I am thankful indeed for the message of Christian Science, and deeply grateful to the messenger. I greatly appreciate the benefits I have received through the authorized literature, as many times needed encouragement and healing have been derived from the articles in the periodicals.
