My heart is filled with thankfulness to God as I send this testimony. A few years ago a lady who was interested in Christian Science kindly explained it to me and lent me the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I thought the chapter on Prayer beautiful, and the spiritual interpretation of the Lord's Prayer, as given on page 16, especially attracted my attention. Very soon I was able to prove to myself the unreality of sickness and sin.
Since I became a Scientist I am thankful to say my life is much happier and my health is good. While I was spending a holiday with relatives in England, my little nephew had to mortal sense a bad toothache and his face on one side was much swollen. None of my people were Scientists, but I offered to help him, and the mother gave her consent. After speaking a few comforting words to the child I gave him treatment, and in a short time the pain was gone and the swelling had disappeared. Within a quarter of an hour the face had become its normal size. For this demonstration, and others, I am truly thankful. My earnest desire is to become a better Scientist and to help others to understand and demonstrate this glorious truth.— Rooiberg, Transvaal, South Africa.
