One near to me was healed of chronic stomach trouble, which was overcome in the second Christian Science treatment, and the demonstration led me to investigate this teaching. Then when I became ill with what to mortal sense was appendicitis, dread of an operation urged me to seek aid in Christian Science, and in a few days the case was fully met. Two months later I again applied for help, and a nervous disorder of the eyes of over twenty years' standing was overcome, so that glasses were laid aside.
In July, 1915, the ball and instep of my right foot was so badly injured that it was difficult for me to walk. Christian Science treatment was given me, however, and in about three hours the pain suddenly ceased, and I walked across the room with no discomfort except from stiffness. I slept well that night, and the next morning went to work as usual. The stiffness left during the day as suddenly as the pain had gone, so that I walked as well as ever, and there has been no further inconvenience from it.
My last demonstration was over chronic catarrh, and for this healing I cannot be too thankful. Business and financial difficulties have been solved with the help of divine Love, and since learning that the real man is spiritual, sinless, and is God's perfect idea, I have experienced more love and charity for my fellow beings.
