I wish to add one more proof of the healing power of Christian Science. Early one morning, I was awakened out of an apparently very peaceful sleep by an attack of acute indigestion. To mortal sense, there was every indication that I was passing on. A member of the family asked me, "Do you want help?'' I answered, "Yes.'' A Christian Science practitioner was called; and in a few minutes he was with me, working both audibly and silently. In the course of an hour I was again normal, and realizing a sense of love that I had never felt before. Within less than a week I was similarly attacked three times. On each occasion, the practitioner was called, and I received immediate help. The last time he informed me that it was necessary for me to hold my ground; and I recognized that he had done his work well and lovingly. This awakened me, as never before, to the meaning of our Leader's words in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p.22): "Final deliverance from error, whereby we rejoice in immortality, boundless freedom, and sinless sense, is not reached through paths of flowers nor by pinning one's faith without works to another's vicarious effort."
I am grateful for the knowledge that this experience has added to my storehouse of spiritual understanding; grateful to God for having shown me Christian Science; grateful to Jesus, who presented, more than any one else, the Christ; and to the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mrs. Eddy, who unveiled the Christ in the nineteenth century.— Great Falls, Mont.
