I wish to express my gratitude for the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science, made manifest during the thirteen and a half years that I have been studying it. My first healing was of ptomaine poisoning; and my second of a severe form of dysentery. Both healings, brought about by the loving help of a practitioner, were instantaneous. I shall never forget the uplifting of thought that came with each healing. I was filled with joy, and wanted to go out into the street and tell every one. Since then I have had many beautiful demonstrations in my home, bronchitis, mumps, measles, corns, inflammation, and burns having been overcome by the application of this wonderful Science. I was also healed of great sorrow when a loved one passed on.
I am striving day by day to live and to understand more of this great truth, and to have the Mind "which was also in Christ Jesus." I am grateful to God, to Christ Jesus, the Wayshower, and to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy.— Holmdene, Transvaal, South Africa.
I should also like to testify to the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science. Some time ago, when I was employed in erecting machinery and plant at a sugar mill in Natal, some boiling sugar juice fell on my head and arms. I was on a narrow plank at the time and was not able to move away as quickly as I should have liked, because some one else was on the plank and he had to move away first. I was able to realize the truth of harmonious being at the time, and was afterwards able to get away from every one else. I applied the truth as we are taught to do in Christian Science, and was able to continue my work, suffering no ill effects.
